On the 52nd Anniversary of the Association “Mitra Kunj”

On 18 May 2019, the Association of Nepali Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities “Mitra Kunj” celebrated its 52nd Anniversary in the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) in Kathmandu. Chief guest Dr. Surendra Kumar Yadav, State Minister of Health and Population of Nepal, inaugurated the festive event. The function was attended by representatives of the Russian embassy.

In their greeting speeches, Director of the RCSC Ms. Yulia Androsova, President of “Mitra Kunj” Mr. Dhruba Maharjan and other speakers underscored successful work of Nepali Alumni of Russian and Soviet universities and their significant contribution in development of their country and strengthening of ties between Russia and Nepal.

Within the framework of the celebration programme, members of “Mitra Kunj” Mr. Bijaya Man Sherchan and Mr. Krishna Rana made presentations on “Prospects of Electric Transportation in the Metropolitan city of Kathmandu” and “Long Term Sustainability Improvement in Water Supply Systems of Nepal”.
