If you are going to transit via Russia to any other country you will need a Transit Visa. However, Transit Visa is not required if you remain in the transit zone of the airport in order to catch an onward or connecting flight within 24 hours of arrival. In all other circumstances, you will need to apply for a Russian Transit Visa, normally valid for up to three days if you are travelling by air or ten days if you are travelling by train.
To obtain a transit visa, please, submit the following documents:
- passport valid for at least 6 months after the intended date of departure from Russia with a blank page (with photocopies of its first page and pages with visas to Russia);
- duly filled in and signed electronic visa application form;
- one photo 3x4;
- air tickets with all the sectors confirmed or a confirmation of the authorized agencies in case of traveling by other type of transport;
- valid visa for the country of destination, if required.
The visa fee should be paid at Nabil Bank Limited by the payment order issued in the Consular Section.
